Military veterans have served in one or more of our country’s military organizations and may or may not have taken part in military conflicts or armed combat. These veterans are unique, since their lived experience is strongly connected to the conduct of war. Issues that rank high for veterans include health care and exposure to trauma and toxins, disabilities, transition to civilian life, homelessness, employment, civic engagement and veteran identity.
